WhyAbout Michael
Parameter Point founder and Managing Director Michael Carman is an experienced management consultant with a recognised track record in strategy, performance improvement, project planning and management, and change – particularly (although not exclusively) in the public sector.
He has worked with NSW Land & Housing Corporation, Broadspectrum, Property and Development NSW, ANSTO, Southern Cross Care (NSW and ACT), Lendlease, the NSW Department of Justice, Sydney Trains, the Mental Health Coordinating Council, Odyssey House, the Aboriginal Housing Office, the Australia Council for the Arts, ACOSS and NSW Trustee & Guardian.
Michael is an accredited Lean Leader, a full member of the Institute of Management Consultants and the Institute of Public Administration Australia, and has a Master of Public Policy (Sydney University).
Michael has written extensively and his articles have been published in Management Today, Training & Development in Australia, The Australian Financial Review, Australian Property Investor and Government News.
Michael was interviewed on Sky TV's Money Makers program in July 2008 and his work has been cited in The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian.
Aside from being a highly literate and numerate strategist and communicator, one of Michael’s most significant skills – and one particularly valued by clients – is his ability to assimilate and present complex ideas in a digestible form that can be used to make decisions.
